One of the worst banks I have ever dealt with. Went to the drive through to exchange $40 for four rolls of quarters. The lady asked if I had an account with them. No, cause I live an hour away. She says she can't exchange it then. Seriously? It's not like I am cashing a check. The teller lady was rude as hell and smiled while she was being rude. So I call to speak to the bank manager. I explain the situation and she tells me it's because of risk of money laundering? Really!? Do you honestly think I am going to money launder $40? Then I proceeded to ask why other banks would do it but not them. She said it's a federal thing. If it's a federal thing then no banks would do it period. Just as I was about to say something she says thanks for calling and literally hangs up on me and clearly slammed the phone down as you could hear it smack the base of the phone.

I thought going to a smaller bank would be beneficial, but it ended up being the complete opposite. The mobile banking app for Stearns Bank crashes frequently, other times it will say "Balance Unavailable." Customer service is a joke. If you leave the St. Cloud area you are sure to be assessed fee's for using your card at the ATM as they don't have mutual ATM machines nor a MoneyPass card like U.S. Bank. There is no mobile deposit, no ATM deposit. They could care less about the customers, every time I walk in I get the feeling every one there is just there for a paycheck. All in all I would avoid Stearns Bank when there are much better options out there!

I recommend staying away from this bank all together and take your business somewhere else. Horrible horrible and unprofessional.

Avoid. I had a dispute and needed help understanding a fee. When I was explaining why I didn't understand the fee the "Deposit Sales & Service Manager" whose name is "Jodi Marcus" stood up from the desk and yelled "if you're going to argue you can leave" (while pointing to the door) so the whole lobby could hear. It was very unprofessional and off putting for a small "hometown" bank to do that or treat customers like that. I immediately closed my account after. You're better off with Wells Fargo or U.S. Bank honestly.

I needed to withdraw $5000 for a car I was purchasing with cash. The teller was hesitant and kept asking "what I was doing today," and "what I needed that much money for," and "what I planned on buying." NOSEY. She wouldn't quit bugging me about "If I was doing Christmas shopping," finally I had enough and said "FRANKLY IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS." If I had said "I'm going to hide this under my mattress" would you have came and robbed me? I will not be investigated while trying to obtain "MY" money, and hence will be closing my accounts, as well as conveying this situation to all my employee's who bank with them and encourage them to switch as well. Stay away from these sketchy, shady, good-for-nothing tricksters.
