This doctor does not listen to you. She is condescending, and if you question her, she gets a weird little smirk and tries to make you feel a little stupid for even thinking of that question. Our daughter did NOT have seizures, and what Dr Rieke did has left our next pediatric neurologists shaking their head. They said they would NOT have put a 1 yr old on that medicine, let alone such a high dose. One neurologist likened it to deciding you are going to drink for the first time ever, and slamming a bottle of everclear.
She is rude, arrogant and frankly was dangerous to my child. I could not reccomend her less.
She is one of the worst doctors we have had the displeasure to meet. She put our daughter on Depakote for seizure-like activity, unconfirmed by eeg's or mri's. When my daughter continued to have these episodes, Dr Rieke's answer was to continually up the dose. I mentioned I was uncomfortable several times with increasing the dose that high. During one episode, new symptoms showed up which were alarming, and we went to a local ER. I called her to tell her, and she once again upped the dose. We ended up being sent directly to the childrens hospital, where they took her blood level of the medicine and she had WAY too high of a level. And yet Dr Rieke had tried to increase it even more?
