We recently went here to look at a Equinox and the salesman, Chad, seemed like a very nice guy who was going to be that way the entire time we were checking into it. As soon as we sat down at his desk everything began to change for the worse. We told him upfront what we wanted as our payment and he came back with something no where near where we wanted it. My husband and I kept saying we had to think about it and that it was no where near what we wanted to pay. I don't know how many times we had to say we had to think about it, he then started to get extremely rude. He told us that the car could sell when we left and we said that was a chance we would have to take, his reply was I hope I sell it as soon as you leave. I said that's a chance we are willing to take and he said that he was sorry we felt that way and that we would never find a car that nice when we left. He continued to ask if he could get it where we wanted it if we would take it home that night, we said we would still need a night to think it over. He then threw the paper back on the desk and told us it wasn't even worth it then. We have never felt to uncomfortable in a dealership in our life. They may be the oldest ford dealership but the way they do business is not anywhere near where it should be

Salesman Michael Quint worked out a good price for a new Ranger along with additional features such as a 100 K waranty, engine block heater, trailer hitch, ball mount, and trailer hitch wiring. Regularly scheduled oil changes and Auto Butler negotiated with Mike are easy to schedule and generally completed timely through the good offices of Service Consultant Steve Rogge and his colleagues. Clerical support requires no reminders to arrange scheduled discounts on oil changes and other promotions. The only complaint has to do with Ford Corporation discontinuing the manufacture of Ranger PUs as well as discontinuing standard transmissions in the F150.

I have always had a good experience at Tenvoorde Motors, both in the buying process and in the service after the sale. I can't comment on the last experience because my wife took the car in for the regularly scheduled service. All I can say is, "If she's happy, I'm happy". End of comment!

The salesman Dave, an older guy, likes to present himself as a down to earth Minnesotan but, in my interminable purchase process, every part of the deal he presented me with was a lie. They gave me half what he promised on the trade-in, did not give the "free" gift that was supposed to come with the car. Two days after purchase (with a supposed 3 day right of return) I discovered hidden damages on fender and moonroof of the Taurus. They refused to let me return the car (said I hadn't "signed" the three day right), did not repair fender of moonroof. Like Rachel, the other reviewer, they also sold me the bogus Platinum membership. To this day, I can't find out what it does. Don't buy the "oldest Ford dealership" line. I have bought cars from dealers for the past 40 years and Tenvoorde is the worst dealership ever.

I read some of the reviews, and have to admit, I was a bit skeptical. Overall, I am VERY happy with my purchase, a 2006 F-150. A one-owner, in pretty good shape. My salesman, Paul, was very professional, and personable. Paul worked hard to listen to my needs, and understand my concerns, while not just dismissing them. The truck was clean, but before I actually drove it away, they re-detailed things which was a big hit with my wife. I listed the things that I thought were needed to close the deal, and Tenvoorde Ford exceeded my expectations. This level of service, along with the 3-year, 100,000 warrenty for late-model vehicles, makes this dealership a clear choice if you are in the market for a car or truck.
